For a weekend, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm, we invite you to discover the Loire Museum for free. We offer exhibitions, animations and guided tours.
Upstream or downstream of your walk on the banks of the Loire, the esplanade of La Chaussade and the Place de la Pêcherie, places of the Loire in celebration organized by the City of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, let yourself be seduced by the Museum of the Loire!

At the museum:
As every year, the Loire Museum actively participates by opening its doors free of charge on both days from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm (7.30pm on Sundays).
The temporary exhibition "Reflections of earthenware, the Loire for decoration " will first opportunely offer visitors an artistic walk on the river through an exceptional set of ceramics gathered for the occasion.
The permanent collections dedicated to the Loire will also be freely accessible; games will offer children a more playful visit.
Sunday, June 5
The Classical Office in Briare and the TO&MA Collective, composed of a tenor-percussionist and a baritone, will intervene in the museum rooms all afternoon.
At 4pm, from the village of the party, the Association of Friends of the Museum and Heritage invites you to a 6 km walk, a round trip between the site of La Chaussade and Port-Aubry to discover the history of the known and unknown ports of Cosne that have shaped the history, landscape and economy of the city.
At 6 p.m., the Bureau du Classique and the Collectif TO&MA will present, in front of the museum, their show "La fille du marinier".
A poetic and sensitive journey along the water, the result of collecting traditional songs of the people of the river and putting it into perspective with the contemporary world.
Monday, June 6
Fabio and his barbary organ will animate the museum from 2 pm to 5 pm.
In a range of songs from the late 19th century to the 70s, Fabio declines a varied repertoire that awakens in his listeners memories of a time when street song had its letters of nobility and brought people closer together.
At 4pm, from the village of the party, the Association of Friends of the Museum and the Loire Museum invites you to a guided tour in the city (quays, port, sailor's houses …) and the museum.
Largely open to the river, the city has long taken advantage of the assets of this proximity to develop economic activities essential to its development: transport of goods or people, sand extraction, fishing, laundry washing…
This past teeming with life, reappears thanks to the remains preserved here or there, at the bend of a street or in the museum. Discover the quays, ports, sailors' houses; discover portraits, furniture or the beliefs of these lords on the water and relive the great hours of the Loire in Cosne-sur-Loire.
On the village of the Loire in celebration:
Vote for the most beautiful fish of the party on the stand of the Association of Friends of the Museum and Heritage !
Schools (from kindergarten to CM2) and social centers in the region came to discover the loire collections of the museum and then left with a silhouette of fish to decorate in class.
The participating groups of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, but also annay, Teigny, Léré, La Celle-sur-Loire, Alligny-Cosne… now submit their fish to your votes.
The group that will have realized the fish elected most beautiful achievement of the festival will win a traditional boat ride on the Loire sur Princesse de Loire with the Gabarriers of the Haut Val de Loire.
